Dear Sister,
I found your big scissors today in the crack of the sofa in the library and I will take care of them in my little burrow till you come. I certainly do feel nice with my hair cut of, it is cut short behind, I hope you won’t think it ugly. Broter Willy and Harry went up to Warrenton in brther Arthurs buggy. I miss Harry ever so much. They went for Ma [ ] ma wanted to go but the weather was too warm, they are coming back tomorrow or the next day.
I wish you would make haste and come back because ma won’t let us have any fruit cake till you come then I expect she will be like the school boy in the spelling book
